This series will consist of a brief weekly lesson concerning important financial, estate or gift planning issues.
Laurie W. Valentine, trust counsel/chief operating officer of the Kentucky Baptist Foundation has been elected as secretary of the board and member of the executive committee of the American Council on Gift Annuities (ACGA). The ACGA formed in 1927, promotes responsible philanthropy through educational and other services to charities in the United States. One of its primary activities is the publication of suggested charitable gift annuity rates for use by charities and their donors. Mrs. Valentine was elected to the ACGA board in 2000. She has served on the conference committee (conference chair, 2006 Conference on Gift Annuities), the newsletter committee and the membership committee.
